		<description>Participating in traditional bodybuilding competitions where contestants wear small pieces of clothing is prohibited in Islam. This is because one must cover their &#039;awrah (which extends from the navel to the knees) when in the presence of others of the opposite gender, the same gender, or even when they are alone. This does not mean that one cannot do bodybuilding. It is good to do bodybuilding for the health benefits with the intention of pleasing Allah. If one still wishes to compete there are other options as well such as strongman competitions and other sports in which both mass and strength are needed.
